The Heart of Texas Akita Club is a Proud Supporter and a very Active Member Club of the Akita Club of America.  
The HOT Club strongly believes in the AKC/ACA Akita Standard and supports and encourages all judges to judge to the AKC/ACA Akita Standard.

Many members of the HOT Club believe there are enough differences between the newly imported Japanese Akitas and the Akitas we have been lovingly developing here in the United States that we should support saving both breed types and will work towards splitting the breed into American and Japanese Akitas. 

Until the day the breed is split - We will continue to support the AKC/ACA Akita Standard.
